കോഴിക്കോട്: പുതിയ ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡിനു സമീപത്തെ വസ്ത്രവ്യാപാര ശാലയിൽ വൻ തീപിടിത്തം. കാലിക്കറ്റ് ടെക്സ്റ്റൈൽസ് എന്ന സ്ഥാപത്തിലാണ് വൈകുന്നേരം അഞ്ചോടെ തീപിടിത്തമുണ്ടായത്. അഗ്നിരക്ഷാസേനയുടെ അഞ്ചു യൂണിറ്റുകൾ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി തീയണയ്ക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമം തുടരുകയാണ്.

ബസ്സ്റ്റാൻഡ് പരിസരത്തെ റോഡ് അടച്ചതോടെ നഗരത്തിലെ മറ്റു ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ ഗതാഗതക്കുരുക്ക് രൂപപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. സമീപത്തെ മുഴുവൻ കടകളിലുമുള്ളവരെ പോലീസ് ഒഴിപ്പിച്ചു. ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ അടക്കമുള്ള ഉന്നത ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥർ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി.
