ഭുവനേശ്വറിൽ ഇന്ന് 18-ാമത് പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ ദിവസ് കൺവെൻഷൻ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി
ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ
നിന്നുള്ള എല്ലാ പ്രതിനിധികളെയും പ്രവാസികളെയും സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ട്,
ഭാവിയിൽ ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള വിവിധ ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രവാസി പരിപാടികളിൽ ഉദ്ഘാടന ഗാനം
ആലപിക്കുമെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി ആത്മവിശ്വാസം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യൻ
പ്രവാസികളുടെ വികാരങ്ങളും വികാരങ്ങളും പകർത്തിയ മനോഹരമായ ആലാപനത്തിന്
ഗ്രാമി അവാർഡ് ജേതാവായ കലാകാരൻ റിക്കി കേജിനെയും സംഘത്തെയും അദ്ദേഹം

പ്രസിഡന്റ് ക്രിസ്റ്റീൻ കാർല കംഗലൂവിന് അവരുടെ വീഡിയോ സന്ദേശത്തിലെ
ഊഷ്മളവും വാത്സല്യപൂർണ്ണവുമായ വാക്കുകൾക്ക് നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്, ഇന്ത്യയുടെ
പുരോഗതിയെക്കുറിച്ചും അവർ സംസാരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും അവരുടെ വാക്കുകൾ
ചടങ്ങിൽ സന്നിഹിതരായിരുന്ന എല്ലാവരിലും സ്വാധീനം ചെലുത്തിയെന്നും
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്ത്യയിൽ ഇപ്പോൾ ഊർജ്ജസ്വലമായ
ഉത്സവങ്ങളുടെയും ഒത്തുചേരലുകളുടെയും സമയമാണെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ ശ്രീ
മോദി, ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ പ്രയാഗ്‌രാജിൽ മഹാ കുംഭമേള
ആരംഭിക്കുമെന്നും മകരസംക്രാന്തി, ലോഹ്രി, പൊങ്കൽ, മാഗ് ബിഹു എന്നിവയുടെ
ഉത്സവങ്ങളും വരാനിരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു. എല്ലായിടത്തും സന്തോഷകരമായ
അന്തരീക്ഷമാണുള്ളതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. 1915-ൽ ഈ ദിവസമാണ്
മഹാത്മാഗാന്ധി ദീർഘനാളത്തെ വിദേശവാസത്തിനുശേഷം ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക്
മടങ്ങിയതെന്ന് അനുസ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ഇത്രയും അത്ഭുതകരമായ ഒരു സമയത്ത്
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പ്രവാസികളുടെ സാന്നിധ്യം ആഘോഷത്തിന്റെ ആവേശം
വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ
ദിവസിന്റെ (പിബിഡി) ഈ പതിപ്പ് മറ്റൊരു കാരണത്താൽ സവിശേഷമായിരുന്നുവെന്ന്
പരാമർശിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം, പിബിഡിക്ക് നിർണായകമായ ദർശനം നൽകിയ ശ്രീ അടൽ ബിഹാരി
വാജ്‌പേയിയുടെ ജന്മശതാബ്ദിയുടെ ഏതാനും ദിവസങ്ങൾക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് ഈ പരിപാടി
നടന്നതെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. “ഇന്ത്യയും അതിന്റെ പ്രവാസികളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ബന്ധം
ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥാപനമായി പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ ദിവസ്
മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു”, അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ഇന്ത്യ, ഭാരതീയത, നമ്മുടെ
സംസ്കാരം, പുരോഗതി എന്നിവ നമ്മുടെ വേരുകളുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനൊപ്പം
നമ്മൾ ഒരുമിച്ച് ആഘോഷിക്കണമെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു.”നമ്മൾ
ഒത്തുകൂടിയിരിക്കുന്ന ഒഡീഷ എന്ന മഹത്തായ ഭൂമി ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സമ്പന്നമായ
പൈതൃകത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിഫലനമാണ്”, ശ്രീ മോദി ഉദ്‌ഘോഷിച്ചു. ഒഡീഷയിലെ നമ്മുടെ
പൈതൃകം ഓരോ ചുവടുവയ്പ്പിലും നമുക്ക് കാണാൻ കഴിയുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം
കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ഉദയഗിരി, ഖണ്ഡഗിരി എന്നീ ചരിത്ര ഗുഹകൾ, കൊണാർക്കിലെ
മനോഹരമായ സൂര്യക്ഷേത്രം, താമ്രലിപ്തി, മണിക്പട്ടണം, പാലൂർ എന്നീ പുരാതന
തുറമുഖങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ സന്ദർശിക്കുമ്പോൾ എല്ലാവർക്കും അഭിമാനം തോന്നുമെന്ന്
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. നൂറുകണക്കിന് വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഒഡീഷയിൽ
നിന്നുള്ള വ്യാപാരികളും കച്ചവടക്കാരും ബാലി, സുമാത്ര, ജാവ തുടങ്ങിയ
സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ദീർഘമായ കടൽ യാത്രകൾ നടത്തിയിരുന്നുവെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടിയ
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, അതിന്റെ സ്മരണയ്ക്കായി ഇന്നും ഒഡീഷയിൽ ബാലി യാത്ര
ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് പറഞ്ഞു. ഒഡീഷയിലെ ഒരു പ്രധാന ചരിത്ര സ്ഥലമായ ധൗലി
സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ലോകം വാളിന്റെ
ശക്തിയിലൂടെ സാമ്രാജ്യങ്ങൾ വികസിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ  അശോക സാമ്രാട്ട് ഇവിടെ
സമാധാനത്തിന്റെ പാത തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തുവെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ഭാവി
യുദ്ധത്തിലല്ല, ബുദ്ധനിലാണ് എന്ന് ലോകത്തോട് പറയാൻ ഈ പൈതൃകം ഇന്ത്യയെ
പ്രചോദിപ്പിച്ചുവെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. അതിനാൽ, ഒഡീഷയുടെ
ദേശത്തേക്ക് എല്ലാവരെയും സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നത് തനിക്ക് വളരെ സവിശേഷമാണെന്ന്
അദ്ദേഹം അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രവാസികളെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ
അംബാസഡർമാരായി താൻ എപ്പോഴും കണക്കാക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി
ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള സഹ ഇന്ത്യക്കാരെ കാണുന്നതിലും അവരുമായി
സംസാരിക്കുന്നതിലും സന്തോഷം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ച അദ്ദേഹം, അവരിൽ നിന്ന് തനിക്ക്
ലഭിക്കുന്ന സ്നേഹവും അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളും മറക്കാനാവാത്തതാണെന്നും ഇത് എപ്പോഴും
തന്നോടൊപ്പം നിലനിൽക്കുമെന്നും പറഞ്ഞു.ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രവാസികളോട്
ഹൃദയംഗമമായ നന്ദി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ആഗോള വേദിയിൽ അഭിമാനത്തോടെ തലയുയർത്തി
നിൽക്കാൻ അവസരം നൽകിയതിന് അവരോട് നന്ദി പറയുകയും ചെയ്ത ശ്രീ മോദി, കഴിഞ്ഞ
ദശകത്തിൽ നിരവധി ലോക നേതാക്കളെ കണ്ടുമുട്ടിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അവരെല്ലാം
ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രവാസികളെ അവരുടെ സാമൂഹിക മൂല്യങ്ങൾക്കും അതത് സമൂഹങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകിയ
സംഭാവനകൾക്കും പ്രശംസിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും എടുത്തു പറഞ്ഞു.”ഇന്ത്യ
ജനാധിപത്യത്തിന്റെ മാതാവ് മാത്രമല്ല, ജനാധിപത്യം ഇന്ത്യൻ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ
അവിഭാജ്യ ഘടകമാണ്”, പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ സ്വാഭാവികമായും
വൈവിധ്യത്തെ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും അവർ ചേരുന്ന സമൂഹങ്ങളിൽ തടസ്സമില്ലാതെ
സംയോജിപ്പിക്കുകയും, പ്രാദേശിക നിയമങ്ങളെയും പാരമ്പര്യങ്ങളെയും
ബഹുമാനിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ
അവരുടെ ആതിഥേയ രാജ്യങ്ങളെ സത്യസന്ധതയോടെ സേവിക്കുകയും, അവരുടെ
വളർച്ചയ്ക്കും സമൃദ്ധിക്കും സംഭാവന നൽകുകയും, ഇന്ത്യയെ എപ്പോഴും അവരുടെ
ഹൃദയത്തോട് ചേർത്തുനിർത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്ന് ശ്രീ മോദി
അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഓരോ സന്തോഷവും നേട്ടവും അവർ വളരെ ആവേശത്തോടെ
ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.ഇരുപത്തിയൊന്നാം
നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ വികസനത്തിന്റെ അവിശ്വസനീയമായ വേഗതയും വ്യാപ്തിയും
എടുത്തുകാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, വെറും 10 വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ഇന്ത്യ 250 ദശലക്ഷം ആളുകളെ
ദാരിദ്ര്യത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിപ്പിച്ചതായും ലോകത്തിലെ പത്താമത് വലിയ
സമ്പദ്‌വ്യവസ്ഥയിൽ നിന്ന് അഞ്ചാം സ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് ഉയർന്നതായും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി
അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ഇന്ത്യ ഉടൻ തന്നെ മൂന്നാമത്തെ വലിയ സമ്പദ്‌വ്യവസ്ഥയായി
മാറുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആത്മവിശ്വാസം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു.ചന്ദ്രയാൻ ദൗത്യം
ശിവശക്തി പോയിന്റിലെത്തുന്നത്, ഡിജിറ്റൽ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ശക്തിയെ ആഗോളതലത്തിൽ
അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നത് തുടങ്ങിയ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ നേട്ടങ്ങളെ ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞുകൊണ്ട്,
ഇന്ത്യയിലെ എല്ലാ മേഖലകളും പുതിയ ഉയരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് മുന്നേറുകയാണെന്നും
പുനരുപയോഗ ഊർജ്ജം, വ്യോമയാനം, ഇലക്ട്രിക് മൊബിലിറ്റി, മെട്രോ
നെറ്റ്‌വർക്കുകൾ, ബുള്ളറ്റ് ട്രെയിൻ പദ്ധതികൾ എന്നിവയിൽ റെക്കോർഡുകൾ
തകർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും ശ്രീ മോദി ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. ഇന്ത്യ ഇപ്പോൾ
“ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച” യുദ്ധവിമാനങ്ങളും ഗതാഗത വിമാനങ്ങളും
നിർമ്മിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു. “ഇന്ത്യയിൽ നിർമ്മിച്ച”
വിമാനങ്ങളിൽ പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ ദിവസിനായി ആളുകൾ ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് യാത്ര
ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ഭാവി അദ്ദേഹം വിഭാവനം ചെയ്തു.നേട്ടങ്ങളും സാധ്യതകളും
കാരണം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വളരുന്ന ആഗോള പങ്കിനെ അടിവരയിട്ടുകൊണ്ട്, “ഇന്നത്തെ
ഇന്ത്യ സ്വന്തം നിലപാട് ഉറച്ചുപറയുക മാത്രമല്ല, ആഗോള ദക്ഷിണേന്ത്യയുടെ
ശബ്ദം ശക്തമായി വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു” എന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി
പറഞ്ഞു. ആഫ്രിക്കൻ യൂണിയനെ ജി-20 യിൽ സ്ഥിരാംഗമാക്കാനുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ
നിർദ്ദേശത്തിന് ഏകകണ്ഠമായ പിന്തുണ അദ്ദേഹം എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു, “മനുഷ്യത്വം
ആദ്യം” എന്നതിനുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പ്രതിബദ്ധത അദ്ദേഹം ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.ഇന്ത്യൻ
പ്രതിഭകളായ പ്രൊഫഷണലുകൾ പ്രമുഖ കമ്പനികളിലൂടെ ആഗോള വളർച്ചയ്ക്ക്  നൽകുന്ന
സംഭാവനയിലൂടെ അവർക്ക് ലഭിക്കുന്ന ആ​ഗോള അം​ഗീകാരം ശ്രീ മോദി  എടുത്തു
പറഞ്ഞു. പ്രസിഡന്റ് ദ്രൗപതി മുർമുവിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രവാസി ഭാരതീയ സമ്മാൻ
സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് ആശംസകൾ നേർന്നുകൊണ്ട്, ആഗോള നൈപുണ്യ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ
നിറവേറ്റിക്കൊണ്ട് ഇന്ത്യ ലോകത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞതും
വൈദഗ്ധ്യമുള്ളതുമായ ജനതയായി പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളോളം തുടരുമെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം
എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു. നിരവധി രാജ്യങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ നൈപുണ്യമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ യുവാക്കളെ
സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യുന്നുവെന്നും, വിദേശത്തേക്ക് പോകുന്ന ഇന്ത്യക്കാർ തുടർച്ചയായ
വൈദഗ്ധ്യം, പുനർ-നൈപുണ്യ വികസനം, വൈദഗ്ധ്യം വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കൽ ശ്രമങ്ങൾ
എന്നിവയിലൂടെ ഉയർന്ന വൈദഗ്ധ്യമുള്ളവരാണെന്ന് ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യൻ
​ഗവൺമെന്റ് പ്രതിജ്ഞാബദ്ധമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.ഇന്ത്യൻ
പ്രവാസികൾക്ക് സൗകര്യത്തിന്റെയും ആശ്വാസത്തിന്റെയും
പ്രാധാന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ഊന്നിപ്പറയുകയും അവരുടെ സുരക്ഷയും ക്ഷേമവുമാണ്
മുൻ‌ഗണനകൾ എന്ന് പറയുകയും ചെയ്ത പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി, “പ്രതിസന്ധി സാഹചര്യങ്ങളിൽ
പ്രവാസികളെ സഹായിക്കേണ്ടത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമാണ്, ഇത് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ
വിദേശനയത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രധാന തത്വമാണെന്ന്” അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. കഴിഞ്ഞ
ദശകത്തിൽ, ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യൻ എംബസികളും ഓഫീസുകളും
സംവേദനക്ഷമതയുള്ളതും മുൻകൈയെടുക്കുന്നതുമായെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.കോൺസുലാർ
സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ലഭിക്കാൻ ദീർഘദൂരം സഞ്ചരിക്കേണ്ടിയും ദിവസങ്ങളോളം
കാത്തിരിക്കേണ്ടിയും വന്ന ആളുകളുടെ മുൻകാല അനുഭവങ്ങൾ വിവരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്,
കഴിഞ്ഞ രണ്ട് വർഷത്തിനുള്ളിൽ പതിനാല് പുതിയ എംബസികളും കോൺസുലേറ്റുകളും
തുറന്നതോടെ ഈ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഇപ്പോൾ പരിഹരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും ശ്രീ മോദി
പറഞ്ഞു. മൗറീഷ്യസിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഏഴാം തലമുറയിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജരെയും (PIOs)
സുരിനാം, മാർട്ടിനിക്, ഗ്വാഡലൂപ്പ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ആറാം
തലമുറയിലെ ഇന്ത്യൻ വംശജരെയും (PIOs) ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി OCI കാർഡുകളുടെ
വ്യാപ്തി വിപുലീകരിക്കുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.ലോകമെമ്പാടുമുള്ള
ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രവാസികളുടെ സുപ്രധാന ചരിത്രത്തെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി എടുത്തുകാട്ടി,
ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പൈതൃകത്തിന്റെ ഒരു പ്രധാന ഭാഗമായി വിവിധ രാജ്യങ്ങളിലെ അവരുടെ
നേട്ടങ്ങളെ ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ രസകരവും പ്രചോദനാത്മകവുമായ കഥകൾ നമ്മുടെ
പരസ്പര പൈതൃകത്തിന്റെയും പാരമ്പര്യത്തിന്റേയും ഭാഗമായി പങ്കുവെക്കുകയും

നൂറ്റാണ്ടുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പ് ഗുജറാത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള നിരവധി കുടുംബങ്ങൾ ഒമാനിൽ
സ്ഥിരതാമസമാക്കിയ,  “മൻ കി ബാത്ത്” എന്ന പരിപാടിയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം ചർച്ച ചെയ്ത
കാര്യം പരാമർശിച്ച ശ്രീ മോദി, അവരുടെ 250 വർഷത്തെ യാത്ര
പ്രചോദനാത്മകമാണെന്ന് പ്രശംസിച്ചു, കൂടാതെ ഈ സമൂഹവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട
ആയിരക്കണക്കിന് രേഖകൾ ഡിജിറ്റലൈസ് ചെയ്ത് ഒരു പ്രദർശനം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചതായും
