കോട്ടയം സ്നേഹക്കൂട്ടിലെ അച്ഛനമ്മമാരുടെ ഇന്നലെ നടന്ന  ഒരു ദിവസത്തെ ”സഫലമീ യാത്ര”യിൽ ആദ്യം പോയത് തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ ഹിൽ പാലസിലേയ്ക്കായിരുന്നു,

വീൽ ചെയറുകളിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്ന അച്ഛനമ്മമാരും, സ്റ്റാഫുകളുമടക്കം 125 പേരായിരുന്നു ഹിൽ പാലസിലെത്തിയത്.നടന്ന് കാണാൻ ഒരുപാട് ഉള്ളതിനാൽ നടക്കാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുള്ള പകുതിയോളം പേർ വണ്ടിയിൽ തന്നെ ഇരിക്കാനും ബാക്കിയുള്ളവർക്കും, വാഹന പാർക്കിങ്ങിനും ടിക്കറ്റെടുത്ത് ഹിൽ പാലസ് കാണാനും തീരുമാനിച്ചതിൻ പ്രകാരം കാണാൻ പോകുന്നവർക്ക് ടിക്കറ്റെടുക്കുവാനായി ചെന്നപ്പോൾ സെക്യൂരിറ്റി ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനായ പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥൻ വാഹനം അകത്ത്  പാർക്ക് ചെയ്താൽ വണ്ടിയിൽ ഇരിക്കുന്ന മുഴുവൻ പേർക്കും ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുക്കണമെന്നത് നിയമമാണെന്നും എല്ലാവർക്കും ടിക്കറ്റ് എടുക്കാതെ അകത്തേയ്ക്ക് പോകാൻ സാധിക്കില്ലന്നും വാശി പിടിച്ചു,
സാർ വാഹനത്തിലുള്ളവരെല്ലാം അനാഥാലയത്തിൽ വന്നവരാണെന്നും, ആരുമില്ലാത്തവരാണെന്നും,ഒരുപാട് ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിയാണ് ഇങ്ങനെയൊക്കെ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്നും പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ” ഇതൊക്കെ കുറെ ഞാൻ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട് എന്നതായിരുന്നു ധാർഷ്ട്യം നിറഞ്ഞ മറുപടി,
എത്രയൊക്കെ അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും അദ്ദേഹം സമ്മതിക്കുന്നില്ല എന്ന് മനസ്സിലായപ്പോൾ ഹിൽപാലസ് കാണണ്ട എന്ന് അച്ഛനമ്മാർ പറഞ്ഞതിനാൽ തിരികെ നടക്കുമ്പോൾ ‘കുറെ മൈ(തമിഴിൽ തലമുടിയെ പറയുന്നത്) കൾ  ഇറങ്ങിക്കൊള്ളും മനുഷ്യനെ മിനക്കെടുത്താൻ എന്ന് പറഞ്ഞത് കേട്ടതിനാൽ പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനോട് സാർ, കുറച്ച് മാന്യമായി സംസാരിക്കണം, ഇല്ലങ്കിൽ ഞാൻ പരാതിപ്പെടും എന്നറിയിച്ചപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങൾ  എവിടെ എന്ത് കോ… എങ്കിലും ചെയ്തോ എനിക്കൊന്നുമില്ല എന്ന മറുപടിയാണ് ലഭിച്ചത്,
അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ ഒട്ടും മനുഷ്യത്വമില്ലാത്തതും അസഭ്യം നിറഞ്ഞതുമായ സംസാരം കേട്ട ഞാനും,സ്റ്റാഫുകൾ ഉൾപ്പെടെ എല്ലാവരും പ്രതികരിച്ചെങ്കിലും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രതികരണത്തിന് ഒരു മാറ്റവും സംഭവിച്ചില്ല,മനസാക്ഷി തൊട്ടു തീണ്ടിയിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരാൾ കാരണം വളരെ ആഗ്രഹത്തോടെ വന്ന എൻ്റെ അച്ഛനമ്മമാരുടെ ബാക്കിയുള്ള യാത്ര മുടങ്ങരുത് എന്നതിനാൽ കൂടുതൽ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾക്ക് പോകാതെ ഹിൽപാലസ്  ഒഴിവാക്കി ഞങ്ങൾ യാത്ര തുടർന്നു,
