കോട്ടയം: കോട്ടയം ജില്ലയുടെ അൻപതാമത് കളക്ടറായി ചേതൻ കുമാർ മീണ ബുധനാഴ്ച (ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 13) രാവിലെ ചുമതലയേൽക്കും. രാവിലെ 10.00ന് കളക്‌ട്രേറ്റിലെത്തുന്ന അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് സ്ഥാനമൊഴിയുന്ന ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ ജോൺ വി. സാമുവൽ ചുമതല കൈമാറും. ന്യൂഡൽഹി കേരള ഹൗസ് അഡീഷണൽ റസിഡന്റ് കമ്മിഷണർ ചുമതല നിർവഹിച്ചുവരികയായിരുന്നു ചേതൻ കുമാർ മീണ.

2018 ബാച്ച് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥനാണ് രാജസ്ഥാനിലെ ദോസ ജില്ലക്കാരനായ ചേതൻ കുമാർ മീണ. ഭാര്യ ഡോ. ശാലിനി മീണ, അച്ഛൻ പരേതനായ ഗിരിരാജ് മീണ, അമ്മ കൗസല്യ ദേവി. ജയ്പൂരിലെ മഹാരാജാ കോളജിൽ നിന്ന് ബി.എസ്.സി. മാത്സ് പഠനശേഷം ഇൻകം ടാക്സ് ഓഫീസറായി ഡൽഹിയിൽ ജോലി നോക്കുന്ന സമയത്താണ് ഐ.എ.എസ്. പരിശീലനത്തിനു ചേർന്ന് ആദ്യശ്രമത്തിൽ തന്നെ വിജയിക്കുന്നത്.
പാലക്കാട് അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് കളക്ടർ ആയിട്ടായിരുന്നു തുടക്കം. നെടുമങ്ങാട് സബ് കളക്ടർ, എറണാകുളം ഡിസ്ട്രിക് ഡവലപ്മെന്റ് കമ്മിഷണർ, സാമൂഹികനീതി വകുപ്പ് ഡയറക്ടർ എന്നീ ചുമതലകളിൽ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
