നിലമ്പൂർ–കോട്ടയം എക്സ്പ്രസിന് അധിക കോച്ചുകൾ അനുവദിച്ചതായി റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രി

യാത്രക്കാരുടെ വർധിച്ചുവരുന്ന ആവശ്യം പരിഗണിച്ച്  നിലമ്പൂർ–കോട്ടയം എക്സ്പ്രസിൽ (ട്രെയിൻ നമ്പർ 16325/16326) കോച്ചുകൾ വർധിപ്പിച്ചതായി റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രി ശ്രീ അശ്വിനി വൈഷണവ് ലോക്‌സഭയിൽ അറിയിച്ചു. നിലവിലെ 12-ൽനിന്ന് 14 കോച്ചുകളായാണു വർധിപ്പിച്ചത്. 2025 മെയ് 21 മുതൽ, ട്രെയിനിൽ ഒരു ജനറൽ ക്ലാസ് കോച്ചും ഒരു ചെയർ കാർ കോച്ചും കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ലോക്‌സഭയിൽ ശ്രീ E T മുഹമ്മദ് ബഷീർ MP-യുടെ ചോദ്യത്തിനു മറുപടിയായാണു മന്ത്രിയുടെ വിശദീകരണം. തിരുവനന്തപുരം, പാലക്കാട് ഡിവിഷനുകൾ നടത്തിയ ശുപാർശകളുടെയും ദക്ഷിണ റെയിൽവേ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധയുടെയും അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് അധിക കോച്ചുകൾ ചേർക്കാൻ തീരുമാനിച്ചത്.

“ട്രെയിൻയാത്രയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സേവനങ്ങൾ പതിവായി വർധിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്. യാത്രക്കാരുടെ ആവശ്യം, പ്രവർത്തനസാധ്യത, വിഭവങ്ങളുടെ ലഭ്യത എന്നിവയെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് ഇത്തരം തീരുമാനങ്ങൾ എടുക്കുന്നത്” – ശ്രീ അശ്വിനി വൈഷണവ് ലോക്‌സഭയിൽ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഈ തീരുമാനം യാത്രക്കാരുടെ തിരക്കു കുറയ്ക്കാൻ സഹായിക്കുകയും ജനറൽ കോച്ചുകളിലെ സീറ്റിങ് സൗകര്യം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ചെയ്യും. ചെയർ കാർ ചേർത്തതിലൂടെ സുഖകരമായ യാത്രാനുഭവവും പ്രാപ്യമാകും. കേരളത്തിലെ യാത്രക്കാരുടെ ആവശ്യങ്ങൾ നിറവേറ്റാനും യാത്രാസൗകര്യങ്ങൾ മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താനും ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് ഈ തീരുമാനമെന്നു റെയിൽവേ മന്ത്രാലയം അറിയിച്ചു.
