കോട്ടയം: അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര വനിതാ ദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ജില്ലാ വനിത-ശിശുവികസന ഓഫീസ് ഡിസ്ട്രിക് ഹബ്ബ് ഫോർ എംപവർമെന്റ് ഓഫ് വുമണിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ജില്ലാതല ഡിബേറ്റ് മത്സരം സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. കളക്ട്രേറ്റിലെ തൂലികാ ഹാളിൽ നടന്ന മത്സരത്തിൽ ജില്ലയിലെ 10 കോളജുകളിൽനിന്ന് വിദ്യാർഥികൾ പങ്കെടുത്തു. കോട്ടയം ഗവൺമെന്റ് കോളജിലെ ഗൗരി നന്ദന രാജേഷ്, വി.എസ്. അതുല്യമോൾ എന്നിവരുടെ ടീം ഒന്നാംസ്ഥാനം നേടി. അരുവിത്തുറ സെന്റ് ജോർജ് കോളജിലെ ഡോൺ ജോസഫ് തോമസ്, നിർമ്മൽ പ്രകാശ് എന്നിവർക്കാണ് രണ്ടാം സ്ഥാനം. കോട്ടയം സി.എം.എസ.് കോളജിലെ കെ.യു. ഗൗരീകൃഷ്ണ, വിന്നി അച്ചാമ്മ ജോർജ്ജ് എന്നിവർ മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനം  നേടി. ഗൗരിനന്ദന രാജേഷിനെ(ഗവൺമെന്റ് കോളജ്, കോട്ടയം) ബെസ്റ്റ് ഡിബേറ്റർ ആയി തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു.
ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ  ജോൺ വി. സാമുവൽ പരിപാടി ഉദ്്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു. അഡീഷണൽ ജില്ലാ മജിസ്ട്രേറ്റ് എസ്. ശ്രീജിത്ത് സമ്മാനവിതരണം നടത്തി. ജില്ലാ വനിത-ശിശുവികസന ഓഫീസർ റ്റിജു റേച്ചൽ തോമസ്, ജില്ലാ വനിത  സംരക്ഷണ ഓഫീസർ വി.എസ്. ലൈജു, പള്ളം അഡീഷണൽ ഐ.സി.ഡി.എസ്. സി. ഡി.പി.ഒ. കെ.എസ്. മല്ലിക എന്നിവർ വിധി കർത്താക്കളായി.
