എത്യോപ്യൻ പാർലമെന്റിന്റെ സംയുക്ത സമ്മേളനത്തെ ഇന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു. എത്യോപ്യയിലേക്ക് ആദ്യ ഉഭയകക്ഷി സന്ദർശനത്തിനെത്തിയ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിക്ക് ലഭിച്ച പ്രത്യേക ബഹുമതിയാണിത്.എത്യോപ്യയിലെ നിയമനിർമ്മാതാക്കൾക്ക് ഇന്ത്യൻ ജനതയുടെ സൗഹൃദത്തിലൂന്നിയ ആശംസകൾ നേർന്നുകൊണ്ടാണ് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അദ്ദേഹത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രസംഗം ആരംഭിച്ചത്. പാർലമെന്റിനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്യാനും എത്യോപ്യയിലെ സാധാരണക്കാരായ കർഷകർ, സംരംഭകർ, അഭിമാനികളായ സ്ത്രീകൾ, യുവാക്കൾ എന്നിവരോട് സംസാരിക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞത് ഒരു ബഹുമതിയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. എത്യോപ്യയിലെ ഗ്രേറ്റ് ഓണർ നിഷാൻ എന്ന പരമോന്നത ബഹുമതി തനിക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചതിന് എത്യോപ്യയിലെ ജനങ്ങൾക്കും സർക്കാരിനും അദ്ദേഹം നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു. ബന്ധത്തിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യം കണക്കിലെടുക്കുമ്പോൾ, ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും തമ്മിലുള്ള വർഷങ്ങൾ പഴക്കമുള്ള ബന്ധം സന്ദർശന വേളയിൽ തന്ത്രപരമായ പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിലേക്ക് ഉയർത്തപ്പെട്ടതിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അഗാധമായ സംതൃപ്തി പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു.ഇന്ത്യയും എത്യോപ്യയും തമ്മിലുള്ള നാഗരിക ബന്ധങ്ങളെ അനുസ്മരിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും പുരാതന ജ്ഞാനവും ആധുനിക അഭിലാഷവും സംയോജിപ്പിക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. ഈ സാഹചര്യത്തിൽ, ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ദേശീയ ഗാനമായ “വന്ദേമാതരം”, എത്യോപ്യൻ ദേശീയ ഗാനം എന്നിവ രണ്ടും അവരുടെ രാജ്യത്തെ മാതാവ് എന്നാണ് പരാമർശിക്കുന്നതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളുടെയും പങ്കിട്ട പോരാട്ടത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് പരാമർശിക്കുമ്പോൾ, 1941 ൽ സഹ എത്യോപ്യക്കാരുടെ വിമോചനത്തിനായി പോരാടിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ സൈനികരുടെ സംഭാവനകളെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി എടുത്തുപറഞ്ഞു. എത്യോപ്യൻ ജനതയുടെ ത്യാഗങ്ങളെ പ്രതീകപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന അദ്വ വിജയ സ്മാരകത്തിൽ ശ്രദ്ധാഞ്ജലി അർപ്പിക്കുന്നത് തനിക്ക് ഒരു ബഹുമതിയാണെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.ഇന്ത്യ-എത്യോപ്യ പങ്കാളിത്തം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും കെട്ടിപ്പടുക്കുന്നതിനുമുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പ്രതിബദ്ധത പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി അറിയിച്ചു. ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ, എത്യോപ്യയുടെ വളർച്ചയ്ക്കും സമൃദ്ധിക്കും ഇന്ത്യൻ അധ്യാപകരും ഇന്ത്യൻ സംരംഭങ്ങളും നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകളെ അദ്ദേഹം അനുസ്മരിച്ചു. ഡിജിറ്റൽ പൊതു അടിസ്ഥാന സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ, ഭക്ഷ്യ സംസ്കരണം, നവീകരണം തുടങ്ങിയ മേഖലകളിലെ ഇന്ത്യയുടെ വികസന അനുഭവങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ അദ്ദേഹം പങ്കുവെച്ചു, എത്യോപ്യയുടെ മുൻഗണനകൾക്കനുസൃതമായി വികസന പിന്തുണ തുടരാനുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സന്നദ്ധത അദ്ദേഹം അറിയിച്ചു. “വസുധൈവ കുടുംബകം” (ലോകം ഒരു കുടുംബമാണ്) എന്ന തത്വത്തിൽ ഉൾക്കൊള്ളിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മാനവികതയെ സേവിക്കാനുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ പ്രതിബദ്ധത അറിയിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, കോവിഡ് പകർച്ചവ്യാധിയുടെ സമയത്ത് എത്യോപ്യയ്ക്ക് വാക്സിനുകൾ വിതരണം ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത് ഇന്ത്യക്ക് ലഭിച്ച ഒരു ബഹുമതിയായി അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിച്ചു.ഗ്ലോബൽ സൗത്ത് രാഷ്ട്രങ്ങൾ എന്ന നിലയിൽ ഇന്ത്യയും എത്യോപ്യയും വികസ്വര രാജ്യങ്ങൾക്ക് കൂടുതൽ ശബ്ദം നൽകാൻ ഒരുമിച്ച് നിൽക്കണമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. ഭീകരതയ്ക്കെതിരായ ആഗോള പോരാട്ടം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിൽ എത്യോപ്യയുടെ ഐക്യദാർഢ്യത്തിന് അദ്ദേഹം നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞു.ആഫ്രിക്കൻ ഐക്യത്തിന്റെ സ്വപ്നങ്ങൾ സാക്ഷാത്കരിക്കുന്നതിൽ ആഫ്രിക്കൻ യൂണിയന്റെ ആസ്ഥാനമായ അഡിസ് അബാബയുടെ നിർണായക പങ്ക് എടുത്തുകാണിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, ജി 20 യുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റായിരുന്ന കാലത്ത് ആഫ്രിക്കൻ യൂണിയനെ സ്വാഗതം ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത് ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ച ബഹുമതിയാണെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. തന്റെ സർക്കാരിന്റെ 11 വർഷക്കാലയളവിനുള്ളിൽ ഇന്ത്യ-ആഫ്രിക്ക ബന്ധം പലമടങ്ങ് വളർന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ഇരു രാജ്യങ്ങളും രാഷ്ട്രത്തലവന്മാരുടെയും ഗവൺമെന്റുകളുടെയും തലത്തിൽ പരസ്പരം 100 ലധികം സന്ദർശനങ്ങൾ നടത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. ആഫ്രിക്കയുടെ വികസനത്തോടുള്ള ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആഴമായ പ്രതിബദ്ധതയെക്കുറിച്ച് അദ്ദേഹം ഓർമ്മിപ്പിച്ചു, ഭൂഖണ്ഡത്തിലെ ഒരു ദശലക്ഷം പരിശീലകരെ പരിശീലിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി “ആഫ്രിക്ക സ്കിൽസ് മൾട്ടിപ്ലയർ ഇനിഷ്യേറ്റീവ്” ആരംഭിക്കാനുള്ള ജോഹന്നാസ്ബർഗ് ജി -20 ഉച്ചകോടിയിൽ അദ്ദേഹം മുന്നോട്ടുവച്ച നിർദ്ദേശത്തിന് അടിവരയിട്ടു.ഒരു സഹ ജനാധിപത്യ രാഷ്ട്രത്തോടൊപ്പം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ യാത്ര പങ്കിടാൻ അവസരം നൽകിയതിന് ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട സ്പീക്കർക്ക് നന്ദി പറഞ്ഞ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ,’ഗ്ലോബൽ സൗത്ത്’ സ്വന്തം വിധി എഴുതുകയാണെന്ന് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി.
