കോഴിക്കോട്: കൊച്ചി തീരത്ത് എംഎസ്സി എല്സ3 എന്ന കപ്പല് മുങ്ങിയതിന്റെ ആഘാതത്തില്നിന്ന് കേരളതീരം മുക്തമാകുന്നതിന് മുന്പാണ് കേരളത്തിന്റെ സമുദ്രാതിർത്തിയിൽ വീണ്ടുമൊരു കപ്പൽ അപകടത്തിൽപ്പെടുന്നത്. കൊളംബോയില്നിന്ന് മുംബൈയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്ന വാന്ഹായ് 503 എന്ന ചരക്കുകപ്പൽ തീപിടിച്ച് കത്തിയമരുകയാണ്. ബേപ്പൂര്-അഴീക്കല് തുറമുഖങ്ങളുടെ പടിഞ്ഞാറുഭാഗത്തായി ഏകദേശം 90 കിലോമീറ്റര് മാറി ഉള്ക്കടലിലാണ് കപ്പലിന് തീപിടിച്ചത്. കപ്പലിനുള്ളിൽ നിന്നും കടലിലേക്ക് പതിച്ച കണ്ടെയ്നറുകളിൽ അപകടകരമായ രാസവസ്തുക്കളാണെന്നത് കേരള തീരത്തെ വീണ്ടും ഭീതിയിലാഴ്ത്തിയിരിക്കുകയാണ്.തീയണയ്ക്കാനുള്ള കോസ്റ്റ്ഗാർഡിന്റെയും നാവികസേനയുടെയും ശ്രമങ്ങൾ വിജയിച്ചില്ലെങ്കിൽ കപ്പൽ മുങ്ങുമെന്നുറപ്പാണ്. അങ്ങനെയെങ്കിൽ കപ്പലിനുള്ളിലെ കണ്ടെയ്നറുകൾ കടലിൽ പതിക്കും. സിംഗപ്പൂർ കപ്പലിലെ 154 കണ്ടെയ്നറുകളിൽ അസിഡുകളും ഗൺപൌഡറും ലിഥിയം ബാറ്ററികളുമടക്കം അപടകരമായ വസ്തുക്കളാണെന്നാണ് പുറത്ത് വരുന്ന വിവരം. അതേസമയം കോസ്റ്റ് ഗാർഡിന്റെ രണ്ട് കപ്പലുകൾ കൂടി എത്തി, കപ്പലിലെ തീ അണയ്ക്കാൻ ശ്രമം തുടരുകയാണ്. സാകേത്, സമുദ്ര പ്രഹരി എന്നീ കപ്പലുകൾ ആണ് സംഭവസ്ഥലത്ത് ഉള്ളത്. കപ്പൽ മുങ്ങിയാൽ എണ്ണ ചോരാനും കടലിൽ വിഷാംശമുള്ള രാസവസ്തുക്കൾ കലരാനും സാധ്യതയേറെയാണ്. ഇത് വലിയ ദുരന്തത്തിന് കാരണമാകും.
കത്തുന്ന കപ്പലിനെ ടോയ് ഡഗ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഉൾകടലിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നുണ്ട്. കരയിലേക്ക് കൂടുതൽ അടുത്ത് അപകടമുണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കാനാണ് ഇത്. കടലിൽ പതിച്ച കണ്ടെയ്നറുകൾ തെക്ക്- തെക്ക് കിഴക്കൻ ദിശയിൽ നീങ്ങാനാണ് സാധ്യത. കപ്പലിൽ നിന്നുള്ള എണ്ണപ്പാട കേരളാതീരത്തിന്റെ സമാന്തരദിശയിൽ നീങ്ങാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ട്. തീപിടുത്തം ഉണ്ടായ കപ്പലിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കണ്ടെയ്നറുകളിൽ ചിലത് അടുത്ത മൂന്ന് ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ കോഴിക്കോടിനും കൊച്ചിക്കുമിടയിലായി തീരത്തടിയാൻ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും ജാഗ്രത വേണമെന്നും ദേശീയ സമുദ്ര സ്ഥിതി പഠന ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രം മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നൽകി.
