കോട്ടയം: മുണ്ടക്കയം-കോരുത്തോട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളിലെ 19243 വീടുകളിൽ ശുദ്ധജലം എത്തിക്കുന്നതിനായി 284.64 കോടി രൂപ വിനിയോഗിച്ച് നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന ജലജീവൻ മിഷൻ പദ്ധതിയുടെ കീഴിലുള്ള ജലശുദ്ധീകരണശാലയുടെ നിർമാണോദ്ഘാടനം ജല വിഭവ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി റോഷി അഗസ്റ്റിൻ നിർവഹിച്ചു. മുണ്ടക്കയം അമരവതിയിൽ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ അഡ്വ. സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ കുളത്തുങ്കൽ എം.എൽ.എ അധ്യക്ഷത വഹിച്ചു.
25 കോടി രൂപ ചെലവിലാണ് ജലശുദ്ധീകരണശാലയും അനുബന്ധ ഘടകങ്ങളും നിർമിക്കുന്നത്. ഹാരിസൺ പ്ലാന്റേഷനിൽനിന്ന് സൗജന്യമായി ലഭിച്ച 70 സെന്റ് സ്ഥലത്താണ് അമരാവതിയിൽ ജല ശുദ്ധീകരണശാല സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നത്. മണിമലയാറ്റിൽ മൂരിക്കയത്ത് സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്ന കിണറ്റിൽനിന്ന് ഡിഐ പൈപ്പിലൂടെ ശേഖരിക്കുന്ന വെള്ളം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച് വിതരണം നടത്തുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. പ്രതിദിനം ഒൻപതു ദശലക്ഷം ലിറ്റർ കുടിവെള്ളം ലഭ്യമാക്കുമെന്നാണ് കരുതുന്നത്. മുണ്ടക്കയം പഞ്ചായത്തിനായി ഒൻപത് ജല സംഭരണിയും കോരുത്തോട് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിനായി നാല് ജലസംഭരണിയും പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി നിർമിക്കും.
ആറു പാക്കേജുകളിലായി നടപ്പാക്കുന്ന പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഒന്നാം പാക്കേജിൽ കിണറിന്റെയും പമ്പ് ഹൗസിന്റെയും നിർമാണം, ജലശുദ്ധീകരണശാലയുടെ നിർമാണം, റോ വാട്ടർ പമ്പിങ് മെയിൻ, റോ വാട്ടർ പമ്പ് സെറ്റുകൾ, ട്രാൻസ്‌ഫോർമറുകൾ എന്നിവ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. മറ്റു പാക്കേജുകളിൽ വിവിധ പഞ്ചായത്തുകളിലേക്കു ശുദ്ധജല വിതരണത്തിനാവശ്യമായ ജലസംഭരണികളുടെ നിർമാണവും, പൈപ്പ് ലൈൻ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നതും ഹൗസ് കണക്ഷൻ നൽകുന്നതുമായ പ്രവൃത്തികളും ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു. രണ്ട് പഞ്ചായത്തുകളിലെയും മുഴുവൻ കുടുംബങ്ങൾക്കും അടുത്ത 30 വർഷത്തേക്ക് കുടിവെള്ളം നൽകുവാൻ പര്യാപ്തമായ സംവിധാനമാണ് പദ്ധതിയിലൂടെ യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാകുന്നത്.
