സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ വലിച്ചെറിയുന്നവരെ പിടികൂടുന്നതിനായി ആരംഭിച്ച സിംഗിൾ വാട്സാപ്പ് സംവിധാനത്തിലൂടെ ലഭിച്ച പരാതികളിൻമേൽ വിവിധ തദ്ദേശസ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ മേയ് 17 വരെ 30.67 ലക്ഷം രൂപ പിഴചുമത്തി. 14,50,930 രൂപ ഇതിനകം ഈടാക്കി.
ഇത്തരം പരാതികൾ അറിയിക്കാനുള്ള ‘സിംഗിൾ വാട്സാപ്പ്’ സംവിധാനം നിലവിൽ വന്നശേഷം സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ വിവിധഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നായി 7,921 പരാതികളാണ് ഇതുവരെ ലഭിച്ചത്. അതിൽ കുറ്റക്കാരെ തിരിച്ചറിയാനുള്ള വിവരങ്ങൾ ഉള്ള 4,772 പരാതികൾ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും 3,905 പരാതികൾ തീർപ്പാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
നിയമലംഘനം നടത്തിയവരിൽ നിന്നും ഈടാക്കിയ പിഴയുടെ നിശ്ചിത ശതമാനം പരാതി സമർപ്പിച്ചവർക്കുള്ള പാരിതോഷികമായും നല്കും. ഇതിനകം 37 പേർക്കുള്ള പാരിതോഷികമായി 21,750 രൂപ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഇതിനുപുറമേ നിയമലംഘനം നടത്തിയ 26 പേരുടെ മേൽ പ്രോസിക്യൂഷൻ നടപടികളും പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്.
മാലിന്യ സംസ്കരണവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട നിയമലംഘനങ്ങൾ തദ്ദേശസ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനത്തിന്റെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിന്റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് സിംഗിൾ വാട്സപ്പ് സംവിധാനം കൊണ്ടുവന്നത്. 9446700800 എന്ന വാട്സ്ആപ്പ് നമ്പറാണ് ഇതിനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. പൊതു ഇടങ്ങളിലും ജലാശയങ്ങളിലും മാലിന്യം വലിച്ചെറിയുന്നവരുടെ മുഖമോ, വാഹന നമ്പറോ മറ്റു തിരിച്ചറിയൽ വിവരങ്ങളോ വ്യക്തമാകുംവിധം ഫോട്ടോ/വീഡിയോ പകർത്തി പൊതുജനങ്ങൾക്ക് ഈ വാട്സ്ആപ്പ് നമ്പറിലേക്ക് അയയ്ക്കാം. ഈ പരാതികൾ തദ്ദേശസ്ഥാപനങ്ങൾ പരിശോധിച്ചതിനുശേഷം നടപടി സ്വീകരിക്കും. നിയമലംഘനം കണ്ടെത്തിയാൽ ഇതിന്മേൽ ഈടാക്കുന്ന തുകയുടെ 25 ശതമാനം (പരമാവധി 2,500 രൂപ വരെ) പരാതിക്കാർക്ക് ലഭ്യമാകുന്ന വിധത്തിലാണ് ഈ സംവിധാനം പ്രവർത്തിക്കുന്നത്.
