പത്തനംതിട്ട : റാന്നിയില് മക്കളുടെ മുന്നിലിട്ട് അമ്മയെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ കേസില് പ്രതിയായ അച്ഛൻ മനോജിന് ജീവപര്യന്തം. റാന്നി പൂഴിക്കുന്ന് സ്വദേശി റീനയെ കൊലപ്പെടുത്തിയ കേസിലാണ് ഭര്ത്താവ് മനോജിന് 11 വർഷത്തിന് ശേഷം ശിക്ഷ വിധിച്ചത്.പത്തനംതിട്ട അഡീഷണല് ജില്ലാ സെഷന്സ് കോടതിയുടേതാണ് വിധി. ഹീനമായ കൊലപാതകമാണ് നടന്നതെന്ന് കോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചു. കുട്ടികളുടെ മൊഴിയടക്കം പരിഗണിച്ചുകൊണ്ടാണ് പ്രതി കുറ്റക്കാരനാണെന്ന് കോടതി കണ്ടെത്തിയത്.മനോജിനെതിരെ കൊലപാതകം, തടഞ്ഞുവയ്ക്കൽ എന്നീ കുറ്റങ്ങൾ തെളിഞ്ഞതായി കോടതി നിരീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നു. 2014 ഡിസംബര് 28ന് പുലര്ച്ചെയാണ് കേസിനാസ്പദമായ സംഭവം. സംശയത്തെ തുടർന്ന് റീനയെ കുട്ടികളുടെ മുന്നിൽവച്ച് അതിക്രൂരമായി കൊലപ്പെടുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു.മനോജ് ആദ്യം ഇഷ്ടികകൊണ്ട് റീനയുടെ തലയ്ക്കടിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. പിന്നാലെ ഇയാൾ റീനയുടെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ വലിച്ചുകീറി. പുറത്തേക്കോടിയ റീനയുടെ തലയിൽ ജാക്കി ലിവറുകൊണ്ട് അടിച്ച് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേൽപ്പിച്ചു.തുടർന്ന് അവശനിലയിലായ റീനയുടെ തല ഓട്ടോറിക്ഷയിൽ ഇടിപ്പിച്ചു. അതീവ ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയിലായ ഇവർ പിന്നീട് കോട്ടയം മെഡിക്കല് കോളജ് ആശുപത്രിയിൽ ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെയാണ് മരണം സംഭവിച്ചത്.
