കൊച്ചി: മുൻ മന്ത്രിയും മുസ്ലീം ലീഗ് നേതാവുമായ വി.കെ. ഇബ്രാംഹിം കുഞ്ഞ് (74) അന്തരിച്ചു. കൊച്ചിയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയിലായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം.
ശ്വാസകോശ അർബുദത്തെ തുടർന്ന് ഏറെനാളായി ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്നു. ആരോഗ്യസ്ഥിതി മോശമായതിനെ തുടർന്ന് തിങ്കളാഴ്ചയാണ് ഇബ്രാഹിംകുഞ്ഞിനെ വീണ്ടും ആശുപത്രിയിൽ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചത്.
എംഎസ്എഫിലൂടെയാണ് ഇബ്രാഹിംകുഞ്ഞ് രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവര്ത്തനം തുടങ്ങിയത്. 2001 ലും 2006 ലും മട്ടാഞ്ചേരിയില് നിന്ന് മത്സരിച്ചു. 2011ലും, 2016ലും കളമശേരിയെ പ്രതിനിധീകരിച്ച് നിയമസഭയിൽ എത്തി. മട്ടാഞ്ചേരി മണ്ഡലത്തിന്റെ അവസാന എംഎല്എയും കളമശേരി മണ്ഡലത്തിന്റെ ആദ്യ എംഎല്എയുമാണ് വി.കെ. ഇബ്രാഹിംകുഞ്ഞ്
