കവിയും നിരൂപകനുമായ കെജി ശങ്കരപ്പിള്ളയ്ക്ക് 2025-ലെ എഴുത്തച്ഛന്‍ പുരസ്‌കാരം. സെക്രട്ടേറിയറ്റ് പി.ആര്‍. ചേമ്പറില്‍ നടന്ന പത്രസമ്മേളത്തില്‍ സാംസ്‌കാരിക വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി സജി ചെറിയാന്‍ ആണ് പുരസ്‌കാരം പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.

മലയാള കവിതാനുഭവത്തെ ആധുനിക ആവിഷ്‌കാരത്തില്‍ വ്യത്യസ്തമാക്കിയ കവിയാണ് കെജിഎസ്. കവിതയുടെ ഭാഷയിലും രൂപത്തിലും ഭാവത്തിലും തന്റേതായ പുതുവഴി അദ്ദേഹം സ്യഷ്ടിച്ചെടുത്തു. സ്വന്തം ജീവിതാവസ്ഥയുടെ ജനകീയ വിചാരണകളായിരുന്നു കെ.ജി.എസ്സിന്റെ കവിതകള്‍. പ്രകടാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍നിന്നും വ്യത്യസ്തമായി ആന്തരാര്‍ത്ഥങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെല്ലുന്ന മൂര്‍ച്ചയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വരികള്‍ക്ക്.

ആവിഷ്‌കാരത്തിന്റെ ഭിന്നവഴികളിലൂടെ അരനൂറ്റാണ്ടിലധികമായി ശക്തമായ സാന്നിധ്യമായി സഞ്ചരിച്ച അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കവിത ഏതൊരു മലയാളിക്കും അഭിമാനിക്കാന്‍ വകനല്‍കുന്നതാണെന്ന് സജി ചെറിയാന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. സമകാലിക രാഷ്ട്രീയ സംഭവങ്ങളോട് ശക്തമായി പ്രതികരിക്കുന്ന കവിതകളാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റേതെന്നും മന്ത്രി കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.
