ബെംഗളൂരു :  ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് വച്ച് രണ്ട് ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കുന്ന ഐഎസ്ആര്‍ഒയുടെ സ്‌പേസ് ഡോക്കിംഗ് പരീക്ഷണം ജനുവരി ഏഴിന് തന്നെ നടക്കും. രാവിലെ 9 നും പത്തിനും ഇടയില്‍ ആകും സ്‌പെയിസ് ഡോക്കിങ് നടക്കുക. ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നതിന്റെ തത്സമയ ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ ഐഎസ്ആര്‍ഒ ലഭ്യമാക്കുമെന്നാണ് അറിയിപ്പ്. ബെംഗളൂരുവിലെ ഇസ്ട്രാക്കില്‍ നിന്നാണ് ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നത്. ഡിസംബര്‍ 30ന് പിഎസ്എല്‍വി സി 60 യിലാണ് സ്പാഡെക്‌സ് ദൗത്യത്തിനായുള്ള ഇരട്ട ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ബഹിരാകാശത്തേക്ക് അയച്ചത്. ദൗത്യം വിജയിച്ചാല്‍ സ്‌പെയിസ് ഡോക്കിങ് നടത്തുന്ന നാലാമത്തെ രാജ്യമായി ഇന്ത്യ മാറും.
റഷ്യ, അമേരിക്ക, ചൈന എന്നീ മൂന്ന് രാജ്യങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മാത്രമാണ് നിലവില്‍ ബഹിരാകാശ ഡോക്കിങ് സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയുള്ളത്. ബഹിരാകാശത്ത് ചുറ്റിത്തിരിയുന്ന 2 പേടകങ്ങള്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നതാണ് ഈ ദൗത്യം. ഏകദേശം 220 കിലോ ഭാരമുള്ള ചേസര്‍ SDX01, Target SDX02 എന്നീ രണ്ട് പ്രത്യേക ഉപഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ വിക്ഷേപണം ഈ ദൗത്യത്തില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നു. PSLV- c60 ആണ് ചരിത്ര ദൗത്യവുമായി ആകാശത്ത് കുതിച്ചുയര്‍ന്നത്. ഭൂമിയില്‍ നിന്ന് 470 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ഉയരത്തില്‍ ഡോക്ക് ചെയ്യാനാണ് ഈ ദൗത്യം ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.
