രാജ്യാന്തര ലോങ് ജംപ് താരം എം.സി.സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ മടിക്കാങ്കൽ (ഷാജി-61) നിര്യാതനായി.1980കളുടെ അവസാനവും 90കളുടെ ആദ്യവും ദേശീയ അത്‌ലറ്റിക്സിൽ കേരളത്തിൻ്റെ അഭിമാന താരമായിരുന്നു സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ.1987 ൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്ത് ദേശീയ ഗെയിംസിൽ ലോങ് ജംപിൽ പി.വി.വിൽസന് സ്വർണം, സെബാസ്റ്റ്യന് വെള്ളി. തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ ഗുണ്ടൂരിൽ മത്സര ഫലം നേരെ തിരിച്ച്. ഇവർക്കൊപ്പം ശ്യാംകുമാറും.കൽക്കട്ട സാഫ് ഗെയിംസിൽ ശ്യാമിനു സ്വർണം; സെബാസ്റ്റന് വെള്ളി. സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ സ്പ്രിൻ്റിലും മികവുകാട്ടിയിരുന്നു. റയിൽവേ ജീവനക്കാരൻ ആയിരുന്ന സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ ആരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്നങ്ങളാൽ ഏതാനും വർഷം മുൻപ് വി.ആർ.എസ്. എടുത്തിരുന്നു.സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ്റെ ഭാര്യ മേരി തോമസ് (മോളി ) സ്പ്രിൻറിൽ അഖിലേന്ത്യാ അന്തർ സർവകലാശാലാ ചാംപ്യൻ ആയിരുന്നു. ദേശീയ മെഡൽ ജേത്രിയും.
മുണ്ടക്കയം കൂട്ടിക്കൽ സ്വദേശിയുമാണ് സെബാസ്റ്റ്യൻ .സംസ്കാരം ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ 10.30നു പറത്താനം സെൻ്റ് മേരീസ് പള്ളിയിൽ.
