ന്യൂഡല്ഹി : ഓപ്പറേഷന് സിന്ദൂറില് ജെയ്ഷെ മുഹമ്മദിന് കനത്ത തിരിച്ചടി. ജെയ്ഷെ മുഹമ്മദ് തലവന് മസൂദ് അസ്ഹറിന്റെ സഹോദരനും കാണ്ഡഹാര് വിമാന റാഞ്ചലിന്റെ മുഖ്യസൂത്രധാരനുമായ അബ്ദുള് റൗഫ് അസര് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടു.ഇന്ത്യ തേടുന്ന ഭീകരരിൽ പ്രധാനിയാണ് അബ്ദുള് റൗഫ് അസര്. ഭീകരക്യാമ്പുകൾ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് ഇന്ത്യൻ സൈന്യം കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം നടത്തിയ മിസൈൽ ആക്രമണത്തിൽ ഇയാൾക്ക് ഗുരുതരമായി പരിക്കേറ്റിരുന്നു. ചികിത്സയിൽ തുടരുന്നതിനിടെയാണ് മരണം.
പാക്കിസ്ഥാന് ബഹവൽപൂരിലെ ജെയ്ഷെ ആസ്ഥാനത്ത് നടത്തിയ മിസൈലാക്രമണത്തിൽ മസൂദ് അസ്ഹറിന്റെ 10 കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങള് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.1999 ഡിസംബർ 31നാണ് കാഠ്മണ്ഡു ത്രിഭുവൻ വിമാനത്താവളത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഡൽഹിയിലേക്കു പറന്നുയർന്ന ഇന്ത്യൻ എയർലൈൻസിന്റെ ഐസി- 814 എയർബസ് എ 300 വിമാനം തോക്കുധാരികളായ അഞ്ച് പാകിസ്ഥാൻകാർ റാഞ്ചിയത്. ഇവരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കാനായി മസൂദ് അസ്ഹറിനെ ഇന്ത്യ വിട്ടയയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
