പത്തനംതിട്ട: പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പിലെ ശുചിമുറി തുറന്ന് നല്‍കാത്തതിന് ഉടമക്ക് 165000 രൂപ പിഴ വിധിച്ച് ഉപഭോക്തൃ തര്‍ക്കപരിഹാര കമ്മീഷന്‍. ഏഴകുളം ഈരകത്ത് ഇല്ലം വീട്ടില്‍ അധ്യാപിക സി.എല്‍. ജയകുമാരിയുടെ പരാതിയിലാണ് വിധി. കോഴിക്കോട് പയ്യോളിയിലുളള തെനംകാലില്‍ പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പ് ഉടമ ഫാത്തിമ ഹന്നയ്‌ക്കാണ് കമ്മീഷന്‍ പിഴയിട്ടത്.

2024 മേയ്് 8 നാണ് സംഭവം. അധ്യാപിക കാസര്‍കോട് നിന്ന് വരവെ രാത്രി 11 മണിക്ക് പെട്രോള്‍ പമ്പില്‍ നിന്നും പെട്രോള്‍ അടിച്ച ശേഷം കാറില്‍ നിന്നും ഇറങ്ങി ശുചിമുറിയില്‍ പോയി. എന്നാല്‍ ശുചിമുറി പൂട്ടിയിട്ടിരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ജീവനക്കാരോട് താക്കോല്‍ ആവശ്യ പ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍ പരുഷമായായിരുന്നു പ്രതികരണം.
താക്കോല്‍ മാനേജരുടെ കൈവശമാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം വീട്ടില്‍ പോയിരിക്കുകയാണെന്നും അറിയിച്ചു. അത്യാവശ്യമാണെന്ന് അറിയിച്ചിട്ടും ശുചിമുറി തുറന്നു നല്‍കാന്‍ തയാറായില്ല.

അധ്യാപിക ഉടന്‍ പയ്യോളി പൊലീസ് സ്‌റ്റേഷനില്‍ വിളിക്കുകയും പൊലീസ് സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി ബലമായി ടോയ്‌ലറ്റ് തുറന്ന് കൊടുക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു. തുടര്‍ന്ന് പൊലീസില്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കി.

ടോയ്‌ലറ്റ് ഉപയോഗിക്കാനാകാത്ത നിലയിലാണെന്ന് ജീവനക്കാര്‍ പറഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും പൊലീസ് തുറന്നപ്പോള്‍ ഉപയോഗിക്കാന്‍ പറ്റുന്ന രീതിയിലായിരുന്നു. സ്ത്രീ എന്ന പരിഗണന പോലും നല്‍കാതെ അപമാനിക്കുകയും ശുചിമുറി് തുറന്നു നല്‍കാന്‍ തയാറാകാതെ തന്റെ അവകാശം നിഷേധിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതിനെതിരെയാണ് കമ്മീഷനില്‍ ഹര്‍ജി നല്‍കിയത്്.
